About Clay Bloom Ceramics
I’m Avery JoAnn Cramer, the owner and creator of Clay Bloom Ceramics, founded in 2023. Originally from Austin, Texas, my journey with pottery began at age 14, when I started teaching and later managing at Cordovan Art Studio. It was there that I first fell in love with ceramics—a passion I’ve been pursuing and teaching since 2017.

Much of my inspiration comes from the hidden treasures I discover in antique stores—unique artworks, aged ceramics, weathered paintings, and forgotten décor, each carrying its own history and story. I’m drawn to the nostalgia and craftsmanship behind these objects, and I strive to reflect that same timeless quality in my work. My ceramics aim to weave the charm of the past into contemporary design, giving a modern voice to age-old artistry while creating pieces that feel both meaningful and new.
